According to figures by the Algerian Ministry of Labour and Social Security, about 40.000 foreign collaborators and experts work in construction, public works, energy, mines, communications, health, banking, insurance, desalination of sea water, iron and steel, petrochemicals and distribution of vehicles in Algeria.

• The majority came to Algeria after contracts between the Algerian and Chinese governments in order to begin partnerships in construction and public works such as projects of ADL construction agency and east-west traffic road.

• Foreign collaborators get wages between 350 and 500 euros per month. However experts in the various sectors, get 8000 euros per month.

• Average experienced architects working for an oil company in South Algeria get 1500$ per day, experts of “Seal” water company in Algiers get 1000 euros per day, engineers in foreign telecommunication companies get 10.000$, same for experts in the petrochemicals, iron, banks and foreign financial institutions, offices of expertise, engineering, law, and accounting.

• Bank of Algeria guaranteed full transfer of these amounts of money abroad from the Algerian reserve of foreign exchange in any financial or economic conditions.
