40 billion Algerian Dinars allocated for municipal Guards

Reliable sources told Echorouk that the Algerian Minister of Interior, Noureddine Yazid Zarhouni, gave his approval to the General Department of the Municipal Guards, more than one month ago to proceed with the installation of municipal police structures in provinces where security is stable.

• This procedure conserns 50 percent out of 94,000 municipal guards, I.e. 47,000 will be integrated in the municipal police sector.
• The same sources reported that the ministry of interior determined the new conditions to join the municipal police including middle school ecucation level or above, in addition to limited age 25.
