40 tons of French rotten cheese seized in Algeria

Algerian trade minister Hachemi Djaaboub said Sunday 40 tons of rotten cheese of French brand were discovered in the province of Blida (70 km west of Algiers).

• “The Trade Ministry has filled a lawsuit against a French company after discovering 40 tons of out-of-date cheese in its storehouse, “Djaaboub told Echorouk.

• He also said the company’s representatives tried to justify why they were keeping the rotten cheese by saying they were going to recycle it.
