420 Algerian families to be expelled after 8 day-deadline by government

Agencies of promotion and real estate management in Algeria launched a series of threats of expulsion of people who did not pay their rent and sale rent of their apartments, including victims of the 21st May 2003 earthquake after they refused to respond to calls for payment of their flats which were granted by government as compensation for their houses which collapsed in the earthquake.

  • Agencies of promotion and real state management gave the families who did not pay their rents an eight day deadline otherwise an immediate contract to annul the contract will be prepared and they will be expelled from these flats, in accordance with the provisions of article 29 of the agreement between the agency and the lessee and according to the supplement to the decree 147/76 of the 23rd October 1976.
  • The threats titled “A last warning” confirmed that the Agency ask families to pay immediately their rents within an 8 day deadline, according to the contract terms otherwise they will be expelled from their flats by force.
