60 billion dinars to save the fleet of Air Algerie

General Manager of Air Algerie, Mohamed Saleh Boltif, air called upon the Arab representatives of 27 airlines, representing 22 Arab countries, to meet the European Union’s decision regarding the inclusion of activities of international air transport within the European market for carbon exchange system “emissions of the European Union.”

Boltif confirmed, during the 45th assembly of the Arab Union for Airlines, in front of managers of the Arab Authority for Civil Aviation, and the International Society and the Union of Arab air transport and airlines, that he rejected the resolution, with the possibility of a commercial confrontation at an international level because of the emergence of opposition that rejects the one-sided resolution, and support of the opposition of the Federal international air Transport Association of airlines that is non European like the American, Chinese and Indian”, adding that the same decision is “oral and incompatible with the policy of dialogue and consultation, to find public solutions and negotiation, based on respect for the national sovereignty of states, according to the Charter of the United Nations.

Head of the General Assembly that was held for the second time in Algeria, was keen on the need to find common solutions on improving costs of exploitation and trade capacity and airlines security system, calling the Assembly for full support for the initiatives that are put forward, in particular the exchange of exemption in fees and costs that are allocated to activities of Arab airline, fuel, aircraft maintenance, the formation and development of the human element.
