A total of 60 Algerian and foreign companies will acquire housing projects by mutual agreement to achieve Algeria’s five-year-program within 24 months, Echorouk has learnt.

The list includes 19 Chinese companies, 3 Algerian, 4 French, 2 Italian, 1 Jordanian, 1 Lebanese, 2 Portuguese, 1 Brazilian, 1 Turkish and 1 Romanian. Their names will be announced in the next few days and door will be opened to operators to agree upon construction prices.

SGP-INJAB’s CEO Abdelmalek Aissyou said partnership agreements with the Spanish, Portuguese and Italian companies enabled to create 13 joint ventures which will be in charge of about 120,000 houses in 2013-2014. Five of them were set up with Italians, four with Portuguese and four with Spanish.

“Those partnership projects will be launched soon to construct 20,000 houses as part of National Agency for Housing Improvement and Development (AADL) programs,” he added.
