60 percent of Algeria markets are informal
Some 60 percent of Algerian business is done in the black market which counts 1.5 million illegal sellers, secretary general of traders and craftsmen’ s union said.

“Algeria looses 25 billion DZ per year due to the phenomenon of the informal market,” Maâmar Hantour told reporters on Saturday.

He also said 50 percent of fake commodities in Algeria come from china while the capital Algiers and the provinces of Tlemcen and Oran are the most touched by them.

Most of the commodities are perfumes, cosmetics and spare parts.
