65,000 jobs in 13,000 companies open for unemployed in Algeria

Algerian work minister Tayeb Louh said the process of employing jobless people via professional integration contracts officially started Wednesday.

A total of 13,000 public economic corporations offered job contracts in Algeria to employ people within an employment new strategy.

The number of job contracts reached 65,000 and 404 offers in addition to 200,000 offers presented by public administration.

The minister urged all jobless people from all categories and levels to submit their dossiers at employment national agencies in their municipalities. They will be called in to hold available positions within the professional integration contracts according to their diplomas.

Louh told journalists he ordered all employment agencies in Algeria to give priority to offers presented by economic corporations because the employment new strategy focuses on the economic sector.

He added that the main goal of the new strategy is to ensure permanent jobs as much as possible by virtue of professional integration contracts.

According to him, the employment new strategy will be pragmatically and implemented without any tests or bureaucracy.

“I ordered employment directors in different provinces to focus on popular, isolated and rural municipalities.”

The minister confirmed that 2,000 people in Algeria were employed in the first three days of June and they will hold permanent positions after a year.

A decree on employment strategy stipulates that every institution must integrate at least 25 percent of employed people.
