80% of the national minimum guaranteed wage is a net grant for invalid, disabled soldiers

Committee of the Health at National People’s Council rejected the approval of three out of the four amendments that were made by Algeria’s green bloc, and the front for Justice and Development, as it approved one amendment for raising the grant of disabled of the military personnel to 80% of the national minimum guaranteed wage, the equivalent of 16.000 dinars per month, while owners of the rejected amendments insist on transferring it to the vote next week.

Deputy of Algeria green bloc Filali Ghuiny, told Echorouk, that the Health Committee interacted with a very negative way, with amendments of approving military pensions for those who were erased from the national people’s army, for disciplinary and administrative decisions, as well as those who were erased due to an inability that has no relation to service.

The deputy Ghuiny wondered about the fate of more than 10.000 dismissed from the army, despite they were facing difficult circumstances, especially that thousands of them have subscriptions at the military retirement fund for many years, adding that he insist on amendments, despite refusing them; “The ball is now in the range of all deputies without exception, to vote on the amendments and lift injustice on these citizens.”

The Committee also rejected a third amendment, that was made by the deputy Lakhdar Ben Khellaf, for the front of justice and development, related to the Article 78 which empowers the Minister of Defense to review the military pensions, adding that the paragraph requires and paired review of pensions of retirees at any increase in wages of individuals, who are still in service,or when any increase in the national guaranteed minimum wage.
