An official source at the National Gendarmerie told Echorouk that for the first time it opened a considerable number of jobs to raise the number of Gendarmes, asserting that the process will allow the provision of positions in the officers’ corps, and non-commissioned officers and gendarmes agents, according to the terms of competitions, which will be open to jobless and university graduates, who obtained LMD graduation.

Regarding the conditions of employment for those wishing to join the ranks of the National Gendarmerie, it has identified this year for the officers, the need to obtain a baccalaureate and university graduation, and higher graduation for scientific and technical disciplines related to the attribution and logistics, at the time they maintained the required age between 18 and 23 years old, as they will continue their study for a period of 3 years, the first at the military academy for various weapons in Cherchel, and two years at the high school of the National Gendarmerie in Issers.

Those are the same conditions that have been identified for those wishing to work as grade officers with the difference in the duration of training, as they will receive a training of two years instead of three years in schools for non-commissioned officers in Sidi Bel Abbes, Setif, Madawrouche and Milyana.
