90 hotels to be completed in Algeria by 2025

Algerian Minister of Tourism and Environment, Cherif Rahmani, announced Saturday the achievement 90 hotels with 8.000 beds, including 12 five-star hotels will be completed under the new plan for future tourism in Algeria by 2025.  

• The announcement was made on the sidelines of the signing of partnership contracts with foreign tourism operators.
• Some 283 hotels are being constructed , the first phase was launched in January 2008, a partnership contract was signed in order to proceed the completion of 82 hotels with 6.000 beds, followed by a second phase, in which works for 111 with 11.000 bed begun. Third phase ended Saturday and allowed – according to Rahmani- the creation of 36.000 new jobs.
• The signing of these contracts was made with the Northeast Tourism and Quality Company with 1906 beds and 25 units, North centre Tourism and Quality with 2567 beds and 28 units, Southeast  Quality and Tourism with 2559 beds and 20 units, and Southwest QT of the Tassili.
• Investors were keen at providing all the financial capacities to complete the projects in the time limit, and in conformity with  international standards as well as environment freindly.
• The minister asserted that the government will provide incentives to tourism investors.
• Minister of Tourism said the global financial crisis, despite its negative effects on the national economy; it opens new tourist horizons through signing  partnership contracts with foreign investors
