Armed forces arrest 46 foreigners, seize cars southern Algeria

National People’s Army forces provided aid for isolated areas in Bechar, southern Algeria, after they were affected because of the large precipitation of rain, leading to flooding and the deterioration of roads and the collapse of some bridges.

According to a statement that was issued by the National Defense Ministry, which copy is available to Echorouk, the large precipitation of rain in Bechar and its suburbs, in the third military region, which resulted in floods, caused deterioration of roads and the collapse of some bridges, especially on axis that links between Bechar and Abadla.
National People’s army personnel helped the affected areas and showed solidarity with the citizens, as the leadership of the third military region, gave orders to inspect the affected areas and stand on the case of the valleys and roads, to provide all the potential and necessary assistance.
On the other hand, in the context of border protection and the fight against smuggling and organized crime, the statement adds; “Detachment of troops of National People’s Army, that is belonging to the operational sector of Ain Guezzam in the sixth military terms, on Saturday, arrested 31 people, including 29 of them of Sudanese nationality, and two others of Chadian nationality, and seize a car, while another detachment of the operational sector of Timiaouine, managed on Friday, during a patrol on the border, to seize two trucks and 400 liters of gasoline, and more than 200 quintals of food.”
Another detachment of Tinsouitine operational sector managed, on Friday, November 28, 2014, to arrest 12 people from Mali and seize a car.
In Tamanrasset region, members of the National Gendarmerie arrested three people, two Algerians and another Malian, seize a car, 2,760 liters of gasoline and 1,500 euros
In the Fourth Military Region, border guards that are belonging to the operational sector of Al Oued, retrieved, after a patrol monitor of a water roundabout area, 400 liters of fuel, that were addressed to the smuggling.
