Buses, metro and tramway to continue working until 1 am
Algerian transport minister Amar Tou Thursday said public transport means including buses, metro and tramway will remain operational until 1 am starting from summer.
Tou told members of Parliament the ministry works on studying projects to achieve 2,762 km between south and north provinces through railways. Of them, there are: Laghouat-Ghardaia, Ghardaia-Ouargula, Ouargula-Hassi Messaoud, Mnia-Timimoune, Timimoune-Adrar and Adrar-Bni Abbas lines.
Call for tenders were launched to buy 37 trains, 30 wagons and 380 vehicles to transport phosphate in eastern Algeria. They will be made by Algerian companies in a deal with the National Enterprises of Railways.
