Algerian schools to close due to preparations for 10 May elections
Schools and educational institutions will close on Tuesday, 8 May, where the voting process will take place, to allow the work of organizers who will prepare for the elections day.
According to a reliable source from the Ministry of Education, authorities have decided to dump these schools 48 hours before the start of polls, which means that to the pupils will have an obligatory holidays starting from Tuesday, 8 May Sunday and ending on Sunday, 13 May.
Informed sources told Echorouk, that the services in charge of organizing the elections, at the Ministry of National Education, started since 15 days the appointment of educational institutions that will receive the voters, as it currently , along with the local committees, which include representatives from various ministerial departments, organize the upcoming elections, through launching inspection visits to preview all aspects, in order to achieve good preparations before the date of the legislative elections which will be Thursday, 10 May.
