Algerian president Abdelaziz Bouteflika appointed today Ahmed Ouyahia prime minister and proceeded to a partial cabinet reshuffle subsequent to the constitutional amendment.

Ahmed Ouyahia who was head of government resigned after the new constitution was adopted.
