Well-informed sources revealed the existence of gross violations and abuses in the management of the Algerian postal services warranting in principle a proper investigation into this nefarious drifts by the Minister of information and communication technologies especially after some striking revelations made to this effect by the company’s human resources Manager.

Echorouk now possesses a heavy file expounding such serious abuses and violations by some members of the company’s managing staff including a formal request by the general management body of “Algérie Poste” for the renting of a 4 – room duplex apartment for the benefit of the company’s general manager for a total sum of 240 million centimes (DA) for a 24 – month period and in return for a monthly payment set at 85 thousand dinars.

This was clearly notified in copy of a banking cheque dating back to October 23th 2012 and bearing the number 362.6305, and for the benefit of a person whose initials are M.N; the cheque was signed by the General Manager in person and sent for further endorsement to other senior managing staff members.

But our sources found out that the woman in question had vacated the rented luxurious apartment located in Delly Ibrahim district for the sake of the company’s General Manager who has so far not occupied it at all.

Echorouk has also in its possession another incriminating report number 175/2013 drafted by the labour inspectorate services revealing a financial gap of 160 million centimes (DA) under the responsibility of a postmaster of the Tizi Ouzou postal services who failed to address the situation himself preferring to foist it on a new postmaster who was named to this post by the Algérie Poste general manager despite the glaring fact that there was a gross mismanagement drift.

Furthermore, Echorouk also secured a report dating back to June 4th 2013 from the company’s human resources Manager who officially notified the minister of information and communication technologies urging him to open a speedy and exhaustive inquiry into the manifold excesses and abuses, including financial loopholes and illegal financial transactions, committed by the company’s Director General and his inner circle.

The human resources Manager also informed the relevant minister of the repeated attempts by the company’s Director General to send him coercively into early retirement but to no avail in order to obfuscate his shadowy and illicit practices.
