The Minister in charge of African, Maghreb and Foreign Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel said Algeria will support the talks between Morocco and the Polisario Front as long as the United Nations also supports them.

“Algeria remains confident that the UN will solve the conflict and find the solution that respects the Sahrawi people and their choice “, Messahel said in an Algerian Radio station on Saturday.

 

“Countries of the Sahel region coordinate efforts in fighting against terrorism, a cooperation that obviates any foreign intervention in the region. We don’t need any intervention under the pretext of combating terrorism in this region because we have strong security and political coordination, particularly since the U.S. reports acknowledged that Algeria has a strong economic, military and political power in the Maghreb region.

 

“Algeria will embrace an African meeting on December 15-16 of experts in coordinated legislations for the fight against terrorism and crime related to it”, he added.
