Abdellah Zekri : Longuet is a rogue minister
The member of the French Islamic Cult Committee Abdellah Zekri has vehemently attacked the former defence minister Gerard Longuet qualifying him by a “ donkey”, noting that this later premeditated the insult of the Algerians while they were celebrating the anniversary of the outbreak of their glorious revolution.
- He felt sorry that the French officials didn’t formally condemn this ignominy.
- In a declaration to Echourouk, Abdellah Zekri has compared Gerard Longuet to Hitler who committed horrendous crimes even against his own people. Longuet intends to target the Algerian people on the occasion of the 58 anniversary of the outbreak of the revolution that ousted the French colonials; he said .
- “ I’d like to respond to this coward in my quality as a president of an association for a
- “Multicultural citizenship”, known for its fight for the right of Algerians in France, so that they won’t accuse me of exploiting religion for political purposes”.
- He declined dwelling long on the ludicrous behaviour of the former minister in Sarkozy’s government saying that gesture comes “ from a rogue minister”.
- M Zekri lauded the historical decision made by the French president François Hollande when he officially acknowledged the massacres perpetrated against peaceful protesters in Paris on October 17, 1961.
- “ The move is genuine step toward the normalization of bilateral ties between Algeria and French, and what has been done by France is a historical fact”, he added.
