Adonis: There is no reference to women in the Quran

Adonis, the prominent Arab poet was the guest of the news room of Echorouk. He spoke to reporters about his controversial views in literature and politics.

• The prominent Arab poet, considers that Arab countries are not interested in poetry nor they are interested in the publishing craft. He said to reporters of Echorouk in Algiers that “there is no creation in the Arab world”.
• Among a billion of Muslims “one can not find real intellectuals” he added
• Regarding the way Arabs and Muslims are dealing with life he explains “We are solving modern problems by using ancient ideas”. For Adonis the war waged by Palestinians against Israel is a “waste of Energy” because “we are fighting the enemy with his means” as he put it.
• The poet went far in his critics to pretend that Women are not considered in the Quran, to be respected by Muslims.
