“I chose South Africa as it will host World Cup,†Algeria football coach says
Algerian football coach Rabeh Saadane said he chose South Africa to prepare for the qualifying match against Zambia because it will host the World Cup next year.

“I decided to train in South Africa ahead of the match against Zambia because I know that the players will closer to the World Cup atmosphere. Thus, they will be more conscious about what would be waiting for them if they did positive results in the World and African cup qualifications,” Saadane told Echorouk.

He thanked the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) for their efforts in favour of the squad. “I thank the FAF for all what it did for us. That will help us to prepare well to play against Zambia.”

‘Supporters in South Africa make us more confident’

Saadane said the supporters who went to the airport of Johannesburg made the players more self-confidence.

“When we arrived to Johannesburg and saw tens of supporters holding Algerian flags, I realized the importance of our victory over Egypt.”

“Fortunately, our supporters got close to the players and told them they will accompany them to Zambia.”
