Algerian movie director Lamine Merbah Monday presented scenes of his new serial “Our Old House†which has been produced for the Algerian state-owned TV station.

The serial deals with the problem of the National Reconciliation in the daily life in Algeria. The story is about an Algerian family living in the old city of Casbah which had to move to a shanty town after their house had collapsed.

The father was always hopeful believing that things would get better one day but one of his 3 sons chose to be a terrorist to solve his problems. Yet, he found out that he was working with bloodthirsty murderers and decided to surrender within the National Reconciliation law.

The director managed to show many important issues in the Algerian reality and how people suffer nowadays. He also shed light on circumstances behind misleading terror-related ideas in the name of religion.
