Africa museum in Algeria
The African ministers of cultures agreed in Algiers the creation of African cultural institute as well as a museum for African arts.

The convention of ministers has set up the preparation of the Second African Cultural Festival due to be hosted by Algeria in 2009.

The cultural institute is designed to bridge the gap between Africa and the world. It is also meant to free African culture from all means of control and monopoly, according to the organizing committee.

This institution will be assigned a role of promoting and spreading African culture and heritage through out the world.

Choosing Algeria as a venue for such an event confirms Algeria’s commitment to the values of African development and unity.
