African illegal migrants arrested in Algeria

A court in Annaba province (east of Algiers) Tuesday ordered the arrest of 8 African nationals including 5 Malians and 3 from Niger on charges of illegal residency and attempt to migrate to Italy.

• Meanwhile, he called up the 9 illegal migrants who were embarking with them on the same boat while they were intercepted by the Algerian naval forces 17 kilometres off the coast.
• The illegal migrants were aged between 22 and 27. They are set to appear before the judge October 19th .
