AFRICOM committed to stay a “quality” partner of Algeria, General Carter F. Ham says

Algiers-U.S troops for Africa committed to remain “a quality” partner of Algeria, General Cater F. Ham, Commander of U.S forces for Africa (AFRICOM) said here on Wednesday, during a press conference at the U.S. Embassy.

 

   “AFRICOM forces are committed to stay a quality partner to Algeria and we are looking at ways to achieve more tight cooperation in several sectors related to mutual interests in military cooperation”, he added.

“We are satisfied by the tight ties between Algeria and the United States”, he asserted.

 “I am very satisfied with the bilateral ties between the Algerian and U.S. militaries”, he explains referring to the existence of several partnership programs which allow militaries of both countries to participate in training programs at military schools in the United States.

 General Carter F. Ham meets with the President Abdelaziz Bouteflika here on Wednesday in Algiers Jenan El Moufti with the presence of the Minister Delegate to the Defense Minister, Mr. Abdelmalek Guenaizia and the Minister in charge of Maghreb and African Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel. 

Commander of US Africa Command (AFRICOM) General Carter Ham arrived to Algeria Tuesday on a two-day visit to discuss military cooperation between both Algeria and USA.
