AFRICOM Hands Over Algeria a List of 100 Terrorists Attempting to Reach Libya

Chief of US AFRICOM Command, General Ham Carter has handed over the Algerian security authorities a list of 100 elements pertaining to al-Qaeda organization, in order to anticipate any attempt from their part to reach Libya via Algeria border.

 

Well informed security sources told Echorouk that the abovementioned list contains names of experienced terrorists who already fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The terrorists in question are originated from Morocco, Libya and Tunisia. They are believed attempting to reach Libya or the Sahel region to back up fiefs of al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) ahead to a new war against NATO forces in Libya.

On another side, the source further revealed that the AFRICOM chief has requested during his visit to Algiers, an authorization from Algeria to let US reconnaissance aircrafts using the Algeria air zone.
