Agerain president appears on Tv to deny allegations and ministers' activities at their nadir

The latest troubles that erupted in various parts of the country have considerably slowed the activities of the cabinet members as all the ministers have cancelled their inspection visits all along the “ troubled days”, especially that the angry youngsters have cut some roads to traffic and used violence.

• For his part, the president Abdelaziz Bouteflika has put an end to allegations that his health was deteriorating when he appeared on the Algerian television along with the Canadian Foreign Minister Lorens Cannon on a three day visit to Algeria, as well as his reception to Chairman of the Korean National Association Par Hei Tay on an official visit to Algeria.
• Unexpectedly, the health minister Djamel Ould Abbas, who tries to mark his presence on the terrain when his fellow ministers are absent, has cancelled his inspection visits to various parts of the country due to the escalation of violence.
• So did the public works minister Ammar Ghoul, who called off his projects knowing that he was always keen on touring in the different corners of the country to supervise personally the state of the works.
• Prime Minister’s cabinet was out of order for a whole week including the agriculture minister, water resources, culture, national solidarity, education and posts and telecommunications technology.
• The Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia has cancelled a partisan activity to supervise the latest developments .
• The youth and sports minister Al Hechemi  Djiar has cancelled at the last moment his visit to the province of M’Sila  as it coincided with the wave of protests, but made an intervention on TV from a stadium  where he called on the youngsters to protest peacefully, noting that rallies in Algiers were not allowed on account of the emergency status but this is not the case in the other provinces of the country.
• Exceptionally, both the interior an trade ministers appeared on television to announce the death toll and the number of injuries during the events for the first one and the measures decided by the government to face the rise of the prices for the second one.
