Aguas de Portugal May Invest in Algeria, Angola, Diario Reports

Aguas de Portugal SGPS SA, the Portuguese state holding company for the water industry, may invest in Angola and Algeria, Diario de Noticias reported, citing Chairman Pedro Serra.

• The water utility may also expand in eastern European markets, the Portuguese newspaper said.
• The investments that Aguas de Portugal plans to make until 2013 may require a capital increase, Diario reported, citing Portuguese Environment Minister Francisco Nunes Correia.
