Air Algerie to Provide Additional Flights to France on September
Air Algerie will start negotiations on Thursday in Paris with the Directorate of the French Civil Aviation, in order to adopt a program of additional flights to France, so that Algerians can return to France early September, and to enable Algerian students, pupils to join their schools and universities, and workers to join their jobs in France, in the right time, General Manager of Air Algerie, Mohamed Saleh Boultif said during a press conference at the “Liberté” newspaper in Algiers.
“Air Algerie provided flights for 3.700.000 passengers in 2011, reaching a business figure of 57 billion AD. There is the problem of saturation of flights and the lack of places in the flights from Algeria to Europe, especially France, as of August 20. “Aigle Azure” have not got yet approval for launching additional planned trips”, he added.
“The European lawsuit against Air Algerie is a campaign against the company by some people who exploit the summer only to make trouble. We have not done any “business ocnspiracy” agianst Algerians, but we are linked with a commercial competition. I deny categorically that Air Algerie is excercising monopoly. There are 20 international companies that choose Algeria destination, in France, there are three companies, so where is the the monopoly which they claim?”.
