Air Link Between Tlemcen and Alicante Set To Be Opened Soon

Informed sources in the province of Tlemcen (western Algeria) have revealed that Air Algerie Airline Company is currently engaged in the last preparations for the opening of an air link between Tlemcen and Alicante, in Spain, with such an air link expected to enter into service before the next summer season.

The same sources confirmed that the Wali or Governor of Tlemcen met with the Director General of the Air Algerie Company on 25 February to study the latest preparations, in order to open the Tlemcen-Alicante air link, while considering another floated proposal to open an air link between Tlemcen and one of the Moroccan cities in the very near future.

The opening of the air link between Tlemcen and Alicante has become a necessity owing to the large movement of passengers from Tlemcen province towards Spain, especially during the summer season.

The launching of the air link between Tlemcen and Marrakech or Casablanca in Morocco is expected to be effective as from next September once the relevant procedures are wrapped up, according to the same sources.
