Al Ahly 1- JSK 1: Valiant JS Kabylie secure berth in semi-final of African Champions' League

The Algerian first-division squad of JS Kabylie forced Sunday night in Cairo stadium Egypt's Al Ahly team to a one-all draw as part of the second-leg group phase match of the African Champions' League and thereby secured a historic qualification for the semi-finals of this prestigious African football competition. 

• Topping currently the group with a total of 10 points, JS Kabylie have now advanced to the semi-finals of this contest whatever the results of their two remaining fixtures versus Al Ismaily of Egypt and Heartland FC of Nigeria.
• The Egyptians of Al Ahly were the first to score a goal following a header by left-winger Gedoo on the 22nd minute of the first-half but the JSK equalizer did not take long to come about with flying colours.
• It was brilliantly scored on the 29th minute following a strong shot by midfielder Tadjer after a free-kick near the Egyptian defense perimeter.
• Despite having lost one of their energetic strikers namely Yahia Cherif who was sent off on the 40th minute by the severe Zambian referee, the players of JS Kabylie stood put and valiantly withstood all the Egyptians’ manifold offensive spurts until the referee’s final whistle synonymous with deliverance and a highly-meritorious qualification for the next round of this illustrious African football contest.
• In the other fixture of the same group, Egypt’s Al Ismaily lost 2-1 in an away match played Sunday evening versus Heartland FC of Nigeria.
