Algeria : 165 quintals of cocaine seized

Algerian joint security forces seized some 165 quintals of cocaine since the beginning of the year, 114 quintals were seized by the national gendarmerie, while the remaining quantity was seized by the customs services and security forces.

• According to the Drug Enforcement National Office, this quantity hits all the previous records and implies that the drug barons are intensifying their activities despite the efforts deployed by the relevant services that waged war against tgis organized crime
• Most of the quantities were seized in the western borders of the country.
