Algeria / 27.000 new permanent jobs earmarked for contract teachers through competitive contest.

The National Education Ministry has decided to devote a total of 27.000 new permanent jobs for contract teachers through a competitive examination due to be held in early September 2008.

• 13 thousand jobs will be at stake for those contract teachers from the intermediate, or CEM level, while 14 thousand other permanent posts will be assigned for those of the secondary or high – school level.
•  
• These 2 categories of contract teachers have been sliced up according to their academic level with a reference to their diplomas in their possession.
•  
• The competitive examinations, which are to be held starting from September 10th, will concern thousands of candidates seeking permanent jobs in the education sector from the 48 provinces of the country.
