Algeria: 7 judges dismissed, 4 downgraded and others transferred
Algeria’s justice high council dismissed 7 magistrates in its last disciplinary session and degraded four others. Two labour judges were transferred into other courts as well, according to well-informed judicial sources.

Two judges out of nine involved in the case of coomercial and industrial regional chamber “N’mamcha” were dismissed. Four others retired while 3 of them were downgraded and transferred into far courts.

On the third and fourth day of the disciplinary session, five others were dismissed and another judge was downgraded. Most of them are charged with violations relating to corruption, professional errors and driving drunk.

The same sources said the justice council which is expected to end its session Thursday morning will deal of a large-scale reshuffle touching 500 magistrates.
