Algeria / A new Commander's nomination in Jijel eastern province

It’s been announced that the Army high command has decided to nominate a new commander of the military region of the province of Jijel, in eastern Algeria, in replacement of the late Army Colonel Yamani Abdelkader who was assassinated last Thursday in a criminal attack carried out by a terrorist group in the region.

• A new regional commander of the national Gendarmerie forces was also appointed, still in Jijel, in replacement of senior officer Abid Abdelhafid who was assigned another post in the province of Algiers.
