Algeria adopts training allowance instead of unemployment

Algerian Employment Minister Sunday said the experience of unemployment allowance in foreign countries failed because it has often encouraged unemployment and not fought it.“As Algerian reality showed a big lack of qualified manpower, Algeria preferred to create an allowance to encourage training instead of the unemployment one,” said Minister Tayeb Louh.

• Trainings seekers will benefit from a 3,000 Algerian dinars allowance. This procedure is meant to train qualified manpower especially in public works field which suffers from a large deficit.

• In this regard, Employment Ministry will bear 60 percent of the training expenses during 6 months.
