Algeria and EU to explore joint ventures in housing sector
The Spanish state secretary in charge of housing is expected next Monday in Algiers on a working visit during which he will have talks with Housing minister Tebboune and other officials on ways of upgrading Algerian-Spanish cooperation in the housing sector.

- The government led by Abdelmalek Sellal is contemplating to achieve through joint venture projects half a million new housing units in the course of 2013.
- Earlier this week, a protocol agreement between Algeria and Portugal on the creation of joint-ventures for the achievement of public housing units here in Algeria was signed by the two sides.
- This protocol agreement initialed on the sidelines of the visit to Algeria by the Portuguese state secretary in charge of economy and regional development, Antonio Almeida Henriques, will allow for the setting up in Algeria of major Portuguese buliding companies which will transfer know-how and expertise.
- The document was signed by the Portugues state secretary and by Algerian minister of housing and town planning Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
