Algeria and France to seal deal for military equipement

The French newspaper†Le Point†the Thursday reported news that negotiations are underway between the Algerian authorities and their French counterpart to broker a deal concerning the acquisition of an important package of military equipment for the Algerian navy forces.
The French newspaper” Le Point” the Thursday reported news that negotiations are underway between the Algerian authorities and their French counterpart to broker a deal concerning the acquisition of an important package of military equipment for the Algerian navy forces.
In addition to a first acquisition of four warships from the group “FRAM”, a deal sealed soon after the visit of the French president last November, the ongoing negotiations concern the acquisition of two others of “ASTRAL” type.
The amount of the transaction, led by the general secretary the French presidency, is estimated at some 500 million Euros for each unit.
