Algeria and Syria decided to face international pressures
The two- day official visit paid by the Algerian Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia to Damascus, Syria last Wednesday to Thursday was considered by many as a turning point towards the consolidation of bilateral ties.

The visit was crowned by the signing of 11 partnership agreements in different sectors of activities including culture, agriculture, health, scientific research and higher education; pending the future visit of the Syrian president, Bechar Al Assad to Algeria on an invitation from his Algerian counterpart, Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

When conferring with his Syrian opposite number, M Ouyahia reiterated the Algerian position to stand by the Syrian nation till the recovery of its spoiled territory in the Golan and the rebuke of any kind of foreign mix in Arab internal affairs.
