Algeria : bad weather kills 3, causee severe damage

Fire officer in charge of communication, Nassim Bernaoui Friday declared that the pouring rain recorded over the last three days in various regions of the country were blamed for the death of three people in Algiers and the tumbling of several mud houses in Batna (eastern Algeria) as well as roads’ inundations.

• The officer added that two brothers and a 30 year old man were electrocuted to death Friday at around 10 a.m in a major boulevard at the capital city, when an electric wire fell on them.
• An inquiry was opened by the electric company services to determine the real causes behind this tragic event, especially that an other man was electrocuted in the same place weeks ago.
