Algeria buys electronic equipments from China
Algerian Defense Minister Delegate Abdelmalek Guenaizia.

A meeting held between Algerian Defense Minister Delegate Abdelmalek Guenaizia and the president of China Electronics Corporation is expected to come up with the conclusion of deals on electronic and radar equipments purchasing.

The equipments are intended to Algeria’s Popular National Army to fight terrorism and keep watch on borders.

 

According to a statement issued Sunday by Algerian Defense Ministry, the president of China Electronics Corporation is on a visit to Algeria accompanied by an important delegation. He held talks with Defense Minister Delegate Abdelmalek Guenaizia on cooperation opportunities.

 

China Electronics Corporation (CEC) is one of the backbone state-owned conglomerates under the direct administration of the Central Government. It currently administrates a constellation of business entities, including 13 listed holding companies, 36 share-holding companies, 20 fully-funded subsidiaries and 2 overseas operations, with a registered capital of RMB 5.88 billion, total assets of RMB 52.3 billion, and headcount of 98,700.

 The Chinese group is one of the foreigin companies in competition to gain the international call for tender offered by Algeria to put Algerian borders under electronic surveillance.
