Algeria calls on the UN to freeze the Sudanese president’s arrest procedure

The Algerian foreign affairs minister, Mourad Medelci announced that Algeria and Sudan intent to raise a request to the UN Security Council in order to freeze the procedure launched by the International Criminal Court against the Sudanese president Omar Al Bachir.

  • He added that negotiations between the two countries started months ago in both ways, one of them deals with making an appeal before the UN Security Council as part of the 16 resolution of the International Criminal Court.
