Algeria cancels Lotfi Double Kanon’s concerts
All it seems that Algerian singer Double Kanon’s song which raised controversy had negative consequences on him. His chargé d’affaires Tuesday said three of his concerts were cancelled.
“Unfortunately, Lotfi Double Kanon’s affairs administration received a decision to cancel three scheduled concerts. Of them, a concert was supposed to be performed on January 4th in the province of Oran. Organizers called us and said the concert was cancelled. Two consecutive concerts in the provinces of El Oued and Annaba were cancelled in the same way,” Zineddine Chark told Echorouk.
“Sure, the message is clear now. Yet, Lotfi will not be weakened,” he added.
This comes as Lotfi Doube Kanon released a song criticizing the Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal. The song was shared by a large number of Internet users on Facebook.
“Youtube and social netoworks will be Double Kanon’s fatal arms in the future,” said the singer’s chargé d’affaires.
“Facebook page of Lotfi’s sister was hijacked. Her daughter’s photo was posted under the pretext that it was taken from a night club. Lotfi will remain the same and will always be young people’s hope,” he added.
