Algeria Coach Names Squad For Qualifier vs Libya

Algeria team coach Vahid Halilhodzic has published his squad list for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya due to take place in Casablanca, Morocco on September 9.

• The Desert Foxes’ key centre-back Madjid Bougherra of Qatari side Lekhwiya did not make the 24-man list although his injury situation was reported to have upgraded.
• Academica club defender Rafik Halliche, who has not played with Algeria since 2011 returns to the group, while Parma FC 20-year-old striker Ishak Belfodil, who recently made a nationality switch to play for Algeria, had to be replaced by USM Algiers forward Mohamed Seguer.
• The Serie A side says Ishak Belfodil is yet to obtain authorisation from FIFA to play for the Algeria line-up and thus cannot be released for the time being.
