Algeria committed to solve the Western Sahara issue within the UN resolutions

The Algerian Foreign Ministry has reacted to the declarations made by the Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelillah Ben Kirane who said” If we succeeded to find a solution with our Algerian brothers concerning the Western Sahara issue, we would have bettered our cooperation and solved together all the problems”.

This declaration followed that one given over the French military intervention in Mali.

In a reaction to the Moroccan PM’s declarations made to the French newspaper” Le Monde”, and the TV channel TV5, the Algerian FM spokesman has declared that Algeria reiterates its commitment to abide by the UN resolution concerning the colonial issues and supports its efforts to solve the Western Sahara one.

In response to Benkirane’s declarations, M Ammar Belani has indicated that this vision is not only reductive, but also luring.

He has further added” I will not come back to the fallouts and the genesis of the Malian crisis because they are known to the all the countries worldwide”

Ammar Belani yesterday declared to Echourouk that the Western Sahara issue “ remains under the aegis of the United Nations and the world knows it, our Moroccan brothers know that the question has been put on the agenda of the UN since a long time”.
