Algeria court starts hearing international drug dealers’ network
A court in Oran (western Algeria) will Sunday rule on one of the biggest the drug trafficking case involving 14 individuals accused of being part of a national and international network.

After three months of serious and intense investigations carried out by the Oran security forces, the so called “ Kada the Emperor “ ( 46) was arrested and some 22 quintals of cocaine set to be smuggled towards Italy and Malta was seized at the port of Sennia in 2007.

According to sources, renowned businessmen from Algiers, Blida and Batna are involved in this network one of them owns a construction company, and another one has a meat packing company.

The inquiry revealed that the smuggled quantity was passé through the western borders to be transported to the eastern ones through Oran in order to reach italy and Malta.
