The maternity ward of the hospital of Aflou has recorded the sudden death of 3 pregnant women in less than 72 hours, prompting the bitter anger of their families who accused the medical team on duty there of being responsible of their death due to a couldn't care less attitude.

Echorouk quoted reliable sources as saying that the death of the 3 unfortunate women has sparked protests and the ire of large sections of the Aflou population who spoke of unacceptable practises and a glaring negligence by certain members of the medical and paramedical staff of this hospital.

This prompted the health Director of the province to make an inspection visit to the Aflou hospital where he gave firm instructions and warned that no further negligence would be tolerated in the future.

All trespassers, he said, will be severely punished with all the rigour of the law.

Meanwhile, an inquiry has been opened by the relevant authorities to determine the exact causes of the 3 women’s death.
