Algeria defence ministry withdraws foreign aircraft flying licence from transport ministry
Algerian government will withdraw prerogative of granting flying licence to foreign aircrafts from transport ministry to put it at the disposal of the defence ministry.

This decision was concretised by an executive decree issued on August 30 about regulations on foreign aircrafts flying.

The decree stipulates that a request for flying licence from a foreign aircraft from competent departments in the Algerian State or the International Organisation. It should be submitted to either the Algerian diplomatic representatives or directly to the foreign ministry. Then, it should transmit it to the defence ministry.

The decree was divided into many categories. Of them, there are permanent and temporary licences. Reasons for flying in the Algerian air domain, the aircraft types and landing airports should be presented.

The defence ministry should reply all the requests within 24 hours before executing the expected flying. Otherwise, the licence request would be considered as rejected.
