Algeria / Djezzy’s turnover reaches 987 million dollars during first semester of 2008

The Orascom Group has issued in Cairo an assessment report on the benefits garnered by the Djezzy phone operator in Algeria during the first 6 months of the year 2008.

• According to Orascom’s report, Djezzy Algeria has made a leap forward by 18 percent with a total turnover reaching 987 million dollars.
• Djezzy’s turnover for last year’s same period was set at 974,987 million dollars.
• It should also be noted that Djezzy’s direct investments here have decreased from 159 million dollars last year to 72 million dollars in 2008.
• Djezzy’s net profits for the first semester of this year plummeted by 4 percent, according to Orascom’s report.
