Algeria: Droudkal assigns new recruited members to target repentant terrorists

Repentant terrorists have been informed by security forces in some provinces belonging to the terrorist group “Salafist group for Preaching and Combat “(GSPC) with a “need to take precautionary measures because of some expected attacks,” according to available information about assassination’s plans against repentant terrorists.

• There was an attempt to assassinate one of the prominent repentant terrorists in Boumerdes province (50 km east of Algiers), which means return Droudkal’s group to target repentant terrorists and devote the bloody strategy of the “GIA”.
• New repentant terrorists, who have recently been arrested, revealed to security forces that they are targeting many of them especially those who have important roles in reconciliation and they managed to spark terror and fear, in addition to stop those who tied to surrender.
• They also transfer Droudkal’s fellows desire to abandon armed work, which lead the group’s leadership either impose strong guard on suspects or “ exclude” them from implementing terrorist attacks, in order not to give them opportunity to surrender.
• The sssassination attempt against the named “Ahmed Holwane” in Zemouri ( Algiers) fell in this context while preliminary investigations indicated that the act executor is one of the new recruited who is 19 years old was shot at the abdomen and leg. He is now in hospital and according to close sources, the actor is not a good shooter.
• Holwan was one of the “GIA”s activists who benefited from compassion act measures in 1995. He was targeted in earlier operation by trying to blow his car. He played a prominent role in peace and national reconciliation alternatives.
• Droudkal’s group had already liquidated some of those who benefited from civil concord law and amnesty, mainly Mostafa Kertali “Errahma battalion leader.”  He joined the truce under the banner of “AIS” and miraculously escaped of an attempt to blow up his car, in addition to the assassination of those who benefited from reconciliation in his field meters from Droudkal’s house in Haouche Ziyane in Meftah region ( south of Algiers) summer 2006, as well as a leader assassination in Oued Souf region .
• According to observers, Droudkal’s organisation seeks to carry out “available” actation in light of inability to implement the suicide attacks, as such attacks are devoted to the organism towards “GIA” s strategy, in light of Zouabri’s group remnants’ control on leadership, including second region leader “Abdelmoumen Rachid” named “ Houdaifa Abou Younes Alassimi.” He appointed his fellows from “GIA” activists at the the head of organisation.
