Algeria-Egypt football crisis showed previous accumulations, says French analyser Pascal Boniface
The football crisis between Algeria and Egypt was the appearance of previous accumulations, said French thinker and analyser Pascal Boniface.

“Algeria’s victory led to the appearance of geopolitical and historical conflicts between the two countries,” Boniface told Echorouk.
“Those accumulations go back to 1958 when the Egyptian team refused to play a match against the National Liberation Front fearing of defeat,” he added.
He believes that the relations between Algeria and Egypt would resume their good state.
The thinker talked about the support of the FIFA to the south and African countries. He described the organisation of the World Cup in South Africa this year as a “daring decision.”
He also said football is the most beautiful exception in globalisation. “It is a constructive factor in the national identity and it plays an important role in taking away racism between people.”
He believes that the most powerful organisations like the UN could not do what football did.
